Leonor Fini: New Species Beyond Boundaries is a 2006 art criticism book by Kiwako Ogata published by Toshindo. This is the first critical monograph on the artist to be published in Japan. It explores the subversive imagery, hybrid creatures, and feminist mythologies in the oeuvre of the surrealist painter.

A monstrous, hybrid artist who defied gender, genre, and convention. A "female painter" who belonged to no art school, violated all institutions and boundaries, and was active in various fields including novels and stage arts. This is the first monograph in Japan on her unique life and works, which captivated many contemporary intellectuals, including Max Ernst, Andre Pieyre de Mandiargues, Jean Cocteau, and Federico Fellini.
